We organise a huge variety of data science related events so that there is something for every one of our members, from complete beginners to experts, from learning to career development, and from fun to focused. Our Events
Our workshop series cover various topics including data analysis, data visualisation, machine learning, and Python programming. Over the course of the last two years, we achieved a cumulative attendance of over 1200 students.
We host AI Hack annually, the largest student-led AI Hackathon in the UK. For AI Hack 2020, we had more than 200 participants including students from other top universities in the UK. We will continue to host our annual hackathon, so stay tuned for more updates for AI Hack 2022!
Providing hands-on data science experience for students to tackle real-world problems in industrial settings and build portfolios of high impact projects.
Regular talks by data scientists from industry provide our members with insights into the real-world applications of data science. Previous speakers included data scientists from J.P. Morgan, LinkedIn, Uber, and BCG Gamma.
We held out first DataCon in the 2020-21 academic year. Various speakers from a wide range of backgrounds (government, academia, industry, etc.) are invited to present and discuss trending and pressing issues.
